Architecture and Design

Some contractors label themselves as design-build but hire a third-party design group to do their architectural designs. We, on the other hand, have an in-house architect on staff which allows us to access and update changes in real-time. Our method allows us to maximize communication, minimize confusion, and put your entire project on the fast track to completion.

Our architect handles all the conceptual design, construction drawings, product/finish selections, zoning and permitting, master planning, and everything in between. Here are the advantages of having an architect on staff:

1) Budgeting

Design-build allows our construction staff and architect to collaborate on every aspect of the design and construction process before construction starts. We update changes in real-time and give you the new price almost immediately. This keeps the project within budget from the start saving you from paying twice for architectural re-design or value engineering.

2) Timeline

A contractor may be mid-construction when it becomes clear that a design isn’t feasible to build due to the problems that have spontaneously arisen on the job site. Having an architect on staff allows us to respond to changes and adjust accordingly so that the project can move forward smoothly.

3) Cost

Having an architect on staff dramatically reduces the need for change orders, minimizes additional costs, and shortens schedule delays.

So, whether it’s teaming up with the client design team or having our in-house architect design the project from inception, our goal is to put your project on the fast track to completion.
