Self-Performed Trades

As a growing design-build firm, our priority is to provide clients with a full scope of services in all phases of construction, ranging from design and budget development through completion. Our subsidiary companies, Morkin and Sowards and Engineered Buildings, Inc., help us achieve this goal by allowing us to manufacture structural steel and erect pre-engineered metal buildings in-house. We’ve also assembled a network of well-rounded professionals and craftsmen over the years, whose diverse skill sets allow us to provide in-house architecture. Read on to learn four ways experts and specialists on staff make The McFate Group a self-performing firm.

1. Structural Steel Fabrication

Morkin and Sowards is our structural steel fabrication company. Morkin and Sowards allows us to provide welding, structural steel fabrication, and miscellaneous metalwork in-house. The McFate Group can even self-perform small services such as ornamental welding for metal gates and doors.

2. PEMB Erection

Engineered Buildings, Inc. is our pre-engineered metal building contracting company. EBI specializes in Butler Manufacturing building systems, commercial facilities, and industrial maintenance. The McFate Group works with EBI to supply and erect pre-engineered metal systems in-house.

3. Architecture

Our in-house architect is what makes The McFate Group a design-build firm. Without our architecture department, we would have to work with an outside architecture firm for every project. Since we have our own architect, we can self-perform all design-related tasks.
