Tomukun Korean BBQ is located on Liberty Street in downtown Ann Arbor. It serves classic homemade Korean soul food and a variety of Asian draft beers, soju, makgeolli, and cocktails. The atmosphere was designed to recreate a Korean street fair. O|X Studio was the architect for the project and The McFate Group served as the general contractor.

The restaurant features a sophisticated modern lounge bar with a custom wood cloud. Infinity lights are strung above the bar to accentuate the shape of it. Custom-made steel lanterns float through space, similar to the traditional paper lanterns throughout Korea. Each lantern features the names of friends, family, and benefactors of the restaurant.

Every table has a gas-fired grill for customers to devise a culinary sensation by preparing their own food. The grills use a downdraft exhaust duct system to hide the ductwork from the customers. They are routed down through the basement and up through the roof. The result is a totally unique dining experience.
